Airports. The Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) in Mactan Island has regular direct flights to Hongkong, Singapore, Japan, Kota Kinabalu, Narita, Seoul and Qatar. There are also chartered and extra flights to Incheon, Taipei, Kansai, Nagoya and Kaoshiung and direct transfer flights via the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila that readily connects Mactan to other destinations in the world.

Construction on a new international terminal to supplement the MCIA began in 2006, thanks in part to the rising number of weekly international flights to and from this airport in Mactan. Within four years, after the new terminal is complete, the existing MCIA facility – a building that can accommodate up to two million travelers at any given point in time - will be devoted solely to domestic use. Cebu airfreight is reliable and efficient, with DHL, UPS, FedEx, TNT and Aboitiz International all covering the area.

Seaports. The Cebu International Port is the largest port of entry in the province of Cebu and Central Visayas Region. This main port of Cebu is situated in a natural harbor in the narrow strait between Cebu City and Mactan Island; the latter offers a natural cover that makes the port one of the safest and most operational, regardless of seasonality. A multipurpose, 10-ha. Terminal, the international port has direct ports of call with Singapore and Hongkong. Near the Cebu International Port is the Cebu Baseport Domestic Zone, where domestic transactions for the many islands of the Philippines are processed.
